Human Resources (HR)is responsible for the implementation of Councils Workforce Plan and, for the development and implementation of all other policies affecting staff. The section is involved in areas including advice and recommendations to Senior Management on staffing matters, as well as recruitment and maintenance of personnel records. HR also provides updates and advice to managers and employees relating to terms and conditions of employment, entitlements, conflict resolution as well as identifying and arranging for training to meet compliance and skills requirement needs.
The Executive Manager Organisational Development has oversight of the HR section; the day to day operations are handled by the Human Resources Officer.
