Norfolk Island Regional Council (Council) is seeking Expressions of interest (EOI) from members of the community and nominated organisations for Council’s Environment and Sustainability Advisory Committee (ESAC). Through this EOI process, NIRC is encouraging applications from suitable candidates with the appropriate skills and experience, seeking representation from nominated community groups or sectors in the community.
Environment and Sustainability Advisory Committee (ESAC)
The Committee’s aim is to assist Council on matters relating to Norfolk Island’s sustainability, namely waste and wastewater management, water management (water quality and water security), biodiversity conservation and land management matters that relates to Council Land.
Committee Membership will consist of a minimum of 5 members from the following areas:
- Special interest groups (Sustainability/Environment/Biodiversity)
- General community
- Education
- Agriculture
Non-voting members:
- Council’s General Manager or delegate
- Team Leader Biodiversity
- Commonwealth (Parks Australia/DITRDC)
