How We Support the Norfolk Island Tourism Future Vision
The Norfolk Island Regional Council’s Tourism Team exists to support the local tourism industry’s growth aspirations and long term, sustainable success via services and resources that:
- Democratise marketing assets for local industry and trade partner use
- Help drive awareness and improve the holistic reputation of Norfolk Island as an appealing destination for visitors
- Provide education opportunities and self-service resources for the local industry on future industry trends and upskilling required to meet modern needs
- Directly help improve the visitor pre travel trip planning and on island experience
- Provide an impartial, consolidated point of contact for trade, media and visitor enquiries
- Represent Norfolk Island at key Tourism Trade Industry events

The Norfolk Island Tourism Hub
A bespoke online platform that was developed in consultation with local industry to provide the much-needed resources the industry requested to support their marketing efforts.
The Tourism Hub is the self-service, go-to destination for stunning imagery, compelling stories and essential tools to showcase our island’s unique charm. Whether you’re promoting, creating, or collaborating, everything you need starts here.
Within the Norfolk Island Tourism Hub also lies the Knowledge Portal, a dedicated resource exclusively for Norfolk Island-based tourism operators and businesses. This members-only portal provides essential insights, tools and resources to help you grow, market and connect - all while staying true to the island’s unique identity.

- The latest tourism insights and market trend reports to keep you informed.
- Norfolk Island Tourism Strategy and Insights, including long-term planning and key initiatives.
- Tourism Calendar featuring key industry events, training sessions, and important dates.

The Visitor Information Centre (VIC)
Located in Burnt Pine, the VIC is a pivotal first stop for many visitors. Our team provides in-person customer service to help visitors make the most of their stay by offering tailored, impartial local recommendations & resources, book tours/experiences and provide assistance to visitors in need.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 9am - 4.30pm
Wednesday 9am - 4pm
Saturday: 9am - 12:30pm
Sunday: 9am - 11:30am

The NIRC Tourism team are also responsible for the modernisation and maintenance of key destination marketing assets such as:
