Reminder About Conduct At Kingston Cemetery

Council has recently received several complaints relating to the Kingston cemetery.

Council advises the community, visitors, tour guides and groups of the following:

• Please ensure the entry gates to the cemetery are closed when leaving.
• Dogs are not permitted within the cemetery grounds.
• Please refrain, where possible, from using plastic or artificial flowers.
• Where possible, please use plastic or other non-breakable containers for displaying floral or other tributes, and place these on the headstone base.
• Please remove all greenery and rubbish when weeding or digging around headstone bases.
• When digging around headstones, please consider ground staff and pedestrian safety by ensuring the area does not protrude excessively onto the grave.
