Collections & Museum Assistant
(Fixed Term 1-year, possible extension for suitable candidate)
Are you curious about historic items such as a convict’s leg iron and how to preserve it to inspire wonder for future generations?
If so, the Collections Assistant role will teach you the fundamentals of collection management. You will assist the collections officer in the preservation and conservation of Norfolk Islands tangible history. The successful person will work in a structured environment, learn heritage compliance and be safety conscious.
This role is great introductory role for anyone with an interest in preserving Norfolk Islands rich history.

Successful applicants for these positions will be employed by the Norfolk Island Regional Council (NIRC) under its Enterprise Agreement and then seconded to the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sports and the Arts.
