Are you looking for a way to make a few dollars? Do you want to help us in a recycling trial? You can!

NIRC is set to begin a trial to create a product from recycled materials for use in an erosion control project.  The ingredients in the trial product include corrugated cardboard, mulch, compost and horse manure.

We need horse manure for this trial and will pay $5 per 10 kg bag to any Island school student who is willing to bag it up. Here’s what you need to do:

• Collect the empty bags from waste management centre staff
• Fill the bags with horse manure
• Drop the bags off at waste management centre
• (If you have 10 or more bags, call Customer Care on freecall 0100 to arrange for them to be collected)
• Receive a voucher for $5 for every 10kg bag you fill
• Go to Customer Care and cash your voucher
