STATISTICAL DATA NOW AVAILABLE FOR LOCAL BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY

The development of statistical and demographic data about Norfolk Island will provide useful insights for the business community, organisations working in the community sector, and anyone interested in the island’s business, tourism and community data and trends.

The information, now available on NIRC’s website, is based on results of the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) 2021 Census Place of Work Employment and ABS 2021 Census of Population and Housing, and related reports.

The economic and community profile has been produced by economic and demographic specialists Remplan, who have interpreted data from across a variety of valid sources. With this information now available access via NIRC’s website, relevant data that is up to date and easy to understand can be viewed at any time.

Island businesses can use this data to assist in their planning and future growth, whether in tourism or other industries, and gain snapshots into the trends and other information to inform the development of their own strategic planning.

The information may also be useful to community groups and is also a great source of information for students.

Links to the statistics and other data can be found on NIRC’s website on the Economic Development pages, under the banner of Economic and Community Demographics and Statistics, or by following the link below.
