Retrofitting to bring playground up to standard

Following concerns raised by residents, Norfolk Island Regional Council recently carried out an inspection of the Lions Park playground to make sure the equipment meets current standards, codes and regulations.

These inspections ensure that the equipment reaches the benchmark for quality and safety to avoid any potential for injury by users of the playground.

The audit assessment has revealed that a few items need to be removed and taken to the NIRC workshop for retrofitting and reworking to remove the hazard identified.

The community will notice these items are absent while this work is being completed, and we apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.
